Another person involved in the drug case that led to the Mac Miller overdose in 2018 has been sentenced to more than 17 years in prison for his role in selling fentanyl pills, Page Six has confirmed.

Stephen Andrew Walter, 48, pleaded guilty to fentanyl distribution. The judge sentenced Walter to 17 and a half years in prison and 5 years of supervised release.

According to Rolling Stone, Walter told the court he was very sorry for his actions.

"I'm not the kind of person who wants to hurt someone. This is not me. "But the documents say that I continued to do the same thing after realizing that someone had died, this is not true."

He said he instructed Ryan Michael Reavis to hand the pills to Cameron Petti - whose case is still ongoing - and believed Petti would swallow the pills.

"I'm taking responsibility for everything that happened, but he never told me they were for another person. He had experience in using those pills. I thought they were for him - for personal use. And then he handed them to McCormick. with cocaine and Xanax, or something. I did not want to do that and I did not intend to do anything but sell Cameron to Petti. And two days later, after the overdose, Cameron did not call me and did not tell me about "So I had no idea someone had died. If I had known, I would not have done it," he said.

Walter is one of three people charged with the death of Mac Miller, also known as Malcolm James McCormick. The rapper passed away on September 7, 2018, at the age of 26. He was found unconscious inside his home in California, by his personal assistant.

Last month, Reavis was sentenced to nearly 11 years in prison. Meanwhile, according to Rolling Stone sources, Petti has also reached a plea agreement.
