The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released their first official portrait on Thursday, June 23rd. Discovered at the Fitzwilliam Museum at the University of Cambridge in England, the portrait was painted by British artist Jamie Coreth. He features Kate Middleton in a royal emerald satin gown from The Vampire's Wife and Manolo Blahnik.

The Falconetti dress highlights the elegance of 1920s fringe and fits Middleton's elegance quite well. The three-quarter sleeves and the bottom of the dress are worn with light fringes, making the Duchess look even more attractive.

Middleton first wore this dress on St. Patrick's Day in March 2020, during a trip to Dublin with Prince William, bringing back the Princess Diana model once again.

The shiny design is reminiscent of some of the late princess green dresses, but most of all, the Graham Wren rainbow dress she wore to a concert with Prince Charles in 1982 and the sleek maxi Catherine Walker she wore to the premiere of "The Hunt For Red ".

Princess Diana's style is an endless source of inspiration for Middleton, who often pays homage to her late mother-in-law through returned dresses.
