Louis Vuitton turned 200 last August, and to celebrate the legacy of the founder's birthday (born August 4, 1821), the luxury brand has opened an international traveling exhibition featuring "imaginary suitcases created by 200 visionaries."

The 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries exhibit recently arrived in Los Angeles after first being unveiled in France last December and then making a stop in Singapore in April. The exhibition invited many influential personalities to use the iconic Louis Vuitton suitcase as a creative canvas to dream up their vision. The list of participants included the designer Marc Jacobs, the famous activist Gloria Steinem, the world-famous architect Frank Gehry, the music group BTS, Ricky Martin's husband and painter Jwan Yosef, the famous makeup artist Pat McGrath, etc.

The 200 suitcases featured in the exhibition will be auctioned at Sotheby's in 2023 and all proceeds will be donated to charities supporting the creative endeavors of young people.

The site also says that Louis Vuitton has pledged to donate €10,000 on behalf of each 'visionary' (participant) to one of 15 non-profit organisations, from around the world, representing many different aspects of creativity.

The "200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries" exhibit has also been expanded to make a stop in New York after Los Angeles.
