Hollywood has a new star shining on the "Walk of Fame": that of Luciano Pavarotti, the great Italian tenor who passed away in 2007 at the age of 71.
The star was unveiled at Boulevard 7065, in Hollywood, in a special ceremony in which Cristina Pavarotti, the daughter of the famous tenor, took part, together with the Albanian tenor Saimir Pirgu.
Cristina Pavarotti has also received the prestigious award on behalf of the tenor's other heirs; Lorenza, Giuliana and Alice Pavarotti and Nicoletta Mantovani. By tradition, the star is awarded by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
In the interview with SBS Italian, Cristina Pavarotti shared some personal moments of her father in the family and recalls her deep love for Australia, where the famous tenor spent long periods with Dame Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge, singing in major Australian cities .
Together with the daughter of the famous tenor to discover Pavarotti's star in Hollywood was the Albanian tenor Saimir Pirgu. Pavarotti's connection and influence on the Albanian tenor have been quite large, so even this moment for Saimir remains irreplaceable and incomparable with others. As he says, he feels very honored to be part of this event, because today is also thanks to Luciano Pavarotti.
