Italian band Måneskin brought their hit song "Supermodel" to the 2022 MTV VMAs on Sunday night, but a wardrobe malfunction caused the performance to be censored.
Just seconds into the band's performance, the camera showed footage of the empty seats for around 40 seconds as the top of their bassist's outfit fell off, leaving her breasts fully exposed.
According to the photos, Victoria De Angelis was moved to the front of the stage as a crowd of dancers surrounded the band. However, as everyone danced, the top of her dress fell off, exposing her completely. The 22-year-old simply continued to play bass, continuing the show, which caused the cameras to leave the set.
Fans, who didn't understand the incident, immediately took to Twitter to express their confusion — and disappointment — with MTV's creative decision. Others called the decision to not even feature the other band members during the performance unfair.
