Britney Spears has posted an open letter to her sons.

Jayden Federline has reportedly said that despite choosing not to see his mother for several months, he hopes time will heal their family.

"I love you so much," Jayden Federline said of his mother. "I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit like this and talk again."

In her post, Britney wrote:

"I tell my son Jayden I send you all the love in the world everyday for the rest of my life!!!! My love for my children knows no bounds."

Jayden also reportedly spoke about the challenges he and his older brother, who did not appear in the interview for the documentary, have felt in recent years.

"We've both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we've been through, to heal, to heal our mental state," she reportedly said. Jayden Federline in the documentary.

Spears responded to these specific comments in her post, writing:

"It saddens me deeply to learn that I did not live up to his expectations of a mother."

Spears also took issue with her son, who defended his father, Kevin Federline, and Britney's parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears.

Spears' Instagram post comes days after the star posted and then made private a 22-minute audio clip on YouTube in which she talked about her foster care and the alleged abuse she says she suffered from her family.
