The world-famous Albanian singer, Rita Ora is in Tirana! On Tuesday, during the British Culture Week, she will perform in Skënderbej square, in a free concert for all citizens, but she reserved the first meeting in Tirana for the students of the Artistic High School.
Rita Ora shared with the young people details about the concert on September 6, but in the meantime she was surprised by the changes that the city of Tirana has undergone.
“This city has grown a lot! You chicks and chicks are very lucky for this mayor. It is very "cool" and updated with culture, youth, values. I see the growth of the city every year and I am surprised," said Rita Ora.
Then, she held a question-and-answer conversation with the young people present in the hall of the Artistic High School, with whom she shared her experience as a singer, what it means to follow your dream and how much work it might take. to make it happen.
" When you grow up you will meet people who will inspire you to do something, others will tell you that you will not succeed and this can make you lose faith. But you should focus on yourself and not listen to what others say. You have to prove them wrong. This has made me move forward ," she said.
Meanwhile, Veliaj expressed his gratitude that Rita Ora agreed to hold a free concert in Tirana, on the occasion of the European Youth Capital. But, on the other hand, in a conversation with Vera Ora, the mother of the Albanian singer, Veliaj also touched on the last event in Pristina, that of the rape of the 11-year-old girl.
" In Pristina, a very serious event has happened, which has to do with the relationships we have in society, with how and how much we respect girls and women. For me, Vera has been a hero, because she insisted on the emancipation of our society, that we must learn some very important principles about respect for each other, that men and women are the same, girls and boys are the same, because everything what a boy can do, a girl can do, any success a boy can have, a girl can have. These messages given by people like Vera are made so that crimes or such events do not happen in our society" , said Veliaj.
And Vera Ora said that last week's event was very serious and appealed for more respect for each other as a society. “Respect each other; it is very important to know your worth. Men should show more respect to girls. So I want to leave you a message: 'Talk to your parents or each other about any problems you have and ask for help if you need it,'" she said.
Before the concert on the evening of September 6, Rita Ora will participate in several activities of a social nature.
