Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a nose injury during the Nations League match between Portugal and the Czech Republic.

In the 12th minute of Portugal's match against the Czech Republic, he jumped to hit the ball but collided with the outstretched hands of the home goalkeeper.

Tomas Vaclik had no malicious intent, but the former Sevilla goalkeeper dealt Ronaldo a blow that left him with a bloody nose and required immediate treatment on the pitch.

The talented forward was not forced to leave the field, but post-match checks will be able to confirm if any serious damage has been done. If it is revealed that he has in fact broken his nose, it could put Ronaldo's participation in the big game against Spain on Tuesday in doubt.
