Veteran actor John Aniston, father of Jennifer Aniston, died on Friday at the age of 89. Jennifer confirmed the shocking news in an emotional Instagram post on Monday morning.
“Sweet daddy… John Anthony Aniston. You were one of the most beautiful people I've ever known," the 53-year-old actress wrote in the touching dedication. "I am so grateful that you ascended to heaven in peace - and without pain. And on 11/11 no less! You always found the perfect time. This number will forever have an even greater meaning to me now. I will love you until the end of my life. Don't forget to visit me."
So far, the cause of the actor's death has not been revealed. The actress' representatives said her Instagram post would be her only statement.

Born on July 24, 1933, in Crete, Greece, John Aniston is perhaps best known for portraying Victor Kiriakis on the hit soap opera Days of Our Lives. First appearing on the show in 1970, he would continue for more than three decades until 2022 – when he received a lifetime achievement Emmy earlier this year.
His final appearance on the show will air on the Peacock on Monday, December 26, according to TV Line.
