President Bajram Begaj granted Albanian citizenship to Dua Lipa, the singer of Albanian origin, now famous all over the world.
Today, President Begaj received the well-known artist and appreciated her talent, artistic spirit and her commitment to support social causes.
"It is a special pleasure that today we welcome the great artist Dua Lipa. I say great artist, but she is also a simple girl, who has given the greatest pride to us, Albania, Kosovo and wherever there are Albanians in the world. The Albanian youth has you as an example and you have shown that dreams can be achieved by working harder and harder. You have made all Albanians together! Therefore, I am pleased to give you Albanian citizenship", said Begaj.
Dua will conclude her world tour "Future Nostalgia" in Skenderbej Square on November 28. "I am very excited to announce that "Future Nostalgia" will conclude in Tirana on November 28. I am looking forward to seeing you on November 28, for flag day and for the 110th anniversary of Independence," she said.
