Looks like Rihanna is aspiring to become a film critic. The music superstar took part in a special screening of Will Smith's new film 'Emancipation' last month with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, Tyler Perry, Dave Chappelle and many other stars.

Recently, Smith has revealed what the "Lift Me Up" singer thought of the film. "Rihanna loved cinematography," the actor told E!News.

And according to the 54-year-old, he didn't have to ask other guests what they thought of the film, after watching their reactions throughout the show. "One thing that's wonderful about people of color is that they talk to the screen all the time, so you don't have to ask for their opinion," he joked. "So I didn't have to ask anyone's opinion."

The film centres on Will's character Peter, a slave who makes a dangerous escape from a plantation through louisiana marshes in the hope of reuniting with his family. The film - which marks the actor's comeback since the slap at the Oscar earlier this year - is an important film for him, especially in terms of the topic he addresses.

"I think the level of emotional confrontation is important," he said, "to be able to cultivate compassion and sensitivity for each other."

'Emancipation' premieres in cinemas on December 2 nd and on Apple TV+ December 9th.
