There is a common misconception that only men cheat and that women are always faithful. But, the question arises: Who are all these cheating men going with?
There are some typical reasons that lead a woman to cheating:
They feel undervalued, neglected or ignored.
They feel more like a maid or nanny than a wife or girlfriend. So, they look for a situation where the real importance they have, apart from the services they perform, can be expressed.
They want emotional intimacy
Women tend to feel valued and connected to another more through non-sexual, emotional interaction than through sexual activity. When they don't feel this kind of connection from their partner they may look for it elsewhere.
They feel overwhelmed by the needs of others
Recent research on women who cheat shows that many women, despite declaring that they love their husband, home, work and life, cheat anyway. These women often describe feeling so unsupported and overwhelmed by having to be all things to all people at all times that they seek extramarital sex as a form of fulfillment.
They are lonely
Women can experience loneliness in a relationship for many reasons. Maybe their spouse works long hours or travels for business regularly, or maybe their spouse is emotionally unavailable. Whatever the cause, they feel lonely and find the wrong solution through cheating to fill the void.
They expect a lot from a relationship
Some women have unreasonable expectations of what their partner and relationship has to offer. They expect their partner to meet their every need 24/7, 365 days a year, and when that doesn't happen, they seek attention elsewhere.
They are not having satisfying sex at home
There is a societal misconception that only men enjoy sex. But many women also enjoy sex, and if they don't find it at home, or it's not enjoyable for them, for whatever reason, they may look for it elsewhere.
