Evan Peters won't make another transformation from the killer anytime soon.
The actor, who played serial killers in American Horror Story and DAHMER- Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, has stated that fans should not expect him to return with a similar role, at least in the near future.
"I'm going to take a little break from the darkest roles and explore the light," Peters told 'Variety'. "It would be interesting for me to play something that's a little closer to home, a little more common and explore the details of those experiences."
Although Dahmer will come with two more seasons, Peters will apparently not be part of it, as Netflix has revealed that the series is heading in the direction of anthology and upcoming seasons "will tell the stories of other monstrous figures who have influenced society".
Peters has been open about the intensive preparations he underwent to play the infamous Jeffrey Dahmer, who killed nearly 20 boys and men from 1978 to 1991. In addition to extensive research and dialect, the actor put weights on his arms to imitate Dahmer's walking style, even wearing his character's shoes, jeans and glasses for months to enter the role.
"With this role I brought a lot of darkness and negativity," he explained during an interview. "We had that final goal to end and finally be able to breathe and leave it and say, 'OK, now is the time to bring joy and tenderness and see comedy and romance.""
