Georgina Rodriguez has confessed how the happiest moment became the saddest as she reflected on the tragic loss of her young son earlier this year. The 28-year-old model was expecting twin children with her partner Cristiano Ronaldo in April, when they announced that their son had lost his life during childbirth.
Speaking of the devastating loss after appearing on the latest cover of "Elle Spain", Georgina said this has been the hardest year of her life and she will never forget. "This year has been the most complicated of my life, the happiest moment became even sadder. It's something that's going to accompany me all my life and we can't forget.
In October 2021, the couple revealed they were expecting the twins, but their son lost his life at birth on April 18, while their daughter Bella Esmeralda, now eight months old, came to life safely. The couple also have a daughter Alana, five, while Cristiano, also has a son Cristiano Jr, 12, and twins Eva and Mateo, five, born to a surrogate mother.

Speaking about her family, Georgina also said her children are the 'most important' thing in her life, saying she feels lucky for her beautiful family. She continued to reflect on her relationship with the Portuguese footballer, saying she is aware that their romance has allowed her to realize her dreams.
However, she went on to insist that she has always had the same passion and desire for any work she has done, whether as a cleaner, shop keeper or model. She added: "I am the girlfriend of the best footballer in the world, but there is no need for people – and many of them women - to use him for understatement".
