Sleep paralysis is the inability to move or speak while you are awake, so the brain is awake, but the body is not yet. Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon that occurs when you fall asleep or when you just wake up. According to recent studies, sleep paralysis affects a large part of people and those who have experienced it, show it as a terrible experience in their life, which can last from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Everyone can experience sleep paralysis and there is nothing wrong with it, but if it becomes common, help from a psychologist should be sought. Stress is the main factor that causes paralysis, studies say, and it can lead to daily paralysis. If for most people this is a frightening and unwanted experience, some others induce sleep paralysis in order to turn it into a lucid dream over which they have control. But if you suffer from sleep paralysis you can do some things, which help you avoid it:
1. Avoid sleep stimulants
2. Don't watch TV before going to sleep
3. Don't use your cell phone before going to bed
4. Avoid sleeping during the day
5. Do not sleep on your back
