Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not "completely sure" that Russian President Vladimir Putin is still alive and that he is the one who makes the decisions in Russia. This is what the Ukrainian president said during his speech at the Davos Economic Forum.
"I'm not sure who to talk to or what to talk about. I'm not sure that the Russian president, who sometimes appears as a hologram, is really him," Zelensky answered a question about the possibility of peace talks.
The Kremlin's response was also immediate. "Russia and Putin exist and will exist, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky must understand this as soon as possible for the good of his country," said spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
Meanwhile, to reinforce Zelensky's suspicions, the Kremlin released the news that the Russian president had performed the Orthodox ritual of being thrown into the frozen river, but without releasing any footage of the ritual.
Recently, the media have often reported that the Russian president may be suffering from a serious illness. These comments have come after his public appearances and questionable actions.
