Britney Spears' family and friends were in talks to host a funeral for the pop star, according to Page Six.

Amid growing concerns about Spears' mental health, her husband Sam Asghari, her manager and doctors planned to try to convince the "Hold Me Closer" singer, 41, to get treatment and take her to a home in Los Angeles for two months.

However, a source exclusively tells Page Six that the intervention was never made because it was deemed "unnecessary."

"Unfortunately, there are a lot of hints in the media at the moment, but Britney is fine, and a lot of things have been exaggerated and grossly distorted," the insider shared.

The intervention was reportedly planned for Tuesday, but the plans were eventually scrapped.

According to TMZ, Spears agreed to see a doctor, though it's not known if it was a therapist or a doctor, and the meeting "went well."

Sources also claimed that people in the singer's inner circle were worried about her well-being due to a medication-related problem.
