The average monthly salary in Albania has increased in the last months of 2022.
According to Instat data, the average gross monthly salary reached the value of over 66 thousand ALL, marking the highest historical level, with an increase of 10.8% compared to the same period a year ago.
People working in the financial sector continue to be the highest paid in the country. In the last quarter of 2022, the average salary in this sector reached 142 thousand ALL, with an increase of 16.4% compared to the previous year.
Financial institutions have increased salaries for their employees due to the high inflation that swept the country, but also as a result of the lack of professionals.
After the financial sector, the transportation sector also results in high payments for employees who receive an average of 103.5 thousand lek per month or about 14% more compared to a year ago.
The agriculture and construction sectors rank last in terms of salary levels, respectively, with 42.4 thousand ALL per month and 51 thousand ALL. But even in these two sectors, the payments have increased in the last two months.
