
Jennifer Lopez works out every day not only to look amazing on the red carpet, but also to feel good about herself.
The 53-year-old actress talked to UsWeekly about how working out helps her maintain a positive mental attitude.
"It's no secret that fitness is a very important part of my life," said Ben Affleck's wife and mother to twins Max and Emme, 15.
"I think there is a positive correlation between exercise and mental health."
According to MentalHealth.org:
'Research shows that people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional well-being, and lower rates of mental illness.
"Exercise reduces the risk of developing mental illness.
Lopez said the first thing in the morning is training, which often starts before 5 a.m. when it's still dark.
"I try to make good choices and balance my time," she added on the page.
"I'm not afraid to challenge myself, so I'm open to pushing myself."
