Angelina Jolie spent three hours chatting with billionaire heir David Mayer de Rothschild while on a lunch date in Malibu, California, on Thursday.
In photos obtained by Page Six, the "Maleficent" star, 47, was seen smiling as she left the popular Nobu spot with the British environmentalist, 44, by her side. For the outing, Jolie wore an elegant black dress with a cutout that emphasized the waist.
Jolie's reps did not immediately return Page Six's request for comment on whether the pair were out discussing business or pleasure.
The meeting could have been for both reasons, as both parties are single, but also have commonalities in their activity. Mayer de Rothschild is an environmental advocate who has worked as an ambassador for the Hyundai IONIQ, the first automobile built from the ground up specifically available as a hybrid or electric car.
