Here's a question we've heard often: Can sex replace exercise?
It is a known fact that this intimate act increases our heart rate, increases our metabolic rate and strengthens certain muscles. But when it comes to the plethora of other fitness benefits, let's just say it depends on how much 'you're working out'.
According to Men's Health, during an 'average' 30-minute sex session, women burn 69 calories and men burn 100 calories. And that's not all you're winning or losing. Think about all those muscles you're strengthening during your session.
However, seriously speaking, sex can never replace exercise; only in case you perform 3 hours of intercourse, which is practically impossible. So we regret to tell you that you have to go to the gym the next day, even though you may be sleep deprived.
However, there is something you can extend as long as you want, burning a good handful of calories: Kisses! Did you know that 1 hour of kissing burns about 70 calories? All the muscles and tendons of the body are set in motion; the heart begins to work faster, and it is a good way to turn on the partner for a longer sex.
