Shakira has reportedly moved out of her Barcelona home after being served with an 'eviction order' by her ex-partner Gerard Pique's father.
Joan Piqué sent Shakira an email on March 13 asking her to vacate the former couple's home by April 30 or pay compensation, local news outlets claimed.
The 46-year-old singer, who shares two sons with Gerard, said goodbye to her home in Spain with an emotional message on Instagram on Sunday.
"I settled in Barcelona to give my children stability, which we are now looking for in another corner of the world near family, friends and the sea," she wrote in a post translated from Spanish to English.
In September 2022, the ownership passed from the hands of Gerard Piqué and Shakira, to the company managed by Joan Piqué, precisely at the moment when the relationship between the singer and the footballer had already broken down.
However, Shakira had another reason for leaving. That's because the Teknon clinic team that cares for the father sees her move to Miami as the kids start school on April 11.
