Vanessa tells Cosmopolitan that she has been able to sense and interact with the dead since childhood. Now, as a self-taught student of magic, she's inviting audiences to follow her as she hones her spiritual skills.
Her new documentary Tubi Dead Hot documents Vanessa and her boyfriend, musician GG Magree, on their pilgrimage to the capital of witchcraft: Salem, Massachusetts. Together, they seek professional ghost hunting guidance and hone their psychic abilities.
With Dead Hot, Vanessa is finally ready to talk in more detail about her lifelong spiritual journey. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she talked about when her abilities first started, her first encounter with a ghost, and the benefits that come from this ability.
“I was probably about five years old, and I was walking in the dining room in front of the table. I had one of those rubber duckies, with a mother duck and all the little ducklings. Someone appeared there for a few moments. I stopped and looked at it, it seemed strange and I didn't know how to react.
Have you told your parents or anyone else about this?
"No I didn't tell them! I just thought it was strange and I tried to forget that I couldn't find an explanation."
So is spiritual connection something that has always been present in your life?
"Yes. For a while I didn't want to pay any attention to them. Even when they appeared I didn't react. Now this paranormal ability will be my focus."
