Jilly Eddy, who is known as "the world's first lipologist", coined the term for the field in 2012 with the publication of her book Lipsology: The Art and Science of Reading Lip Prints
Put on lipstick, kiss a piece of white paper and the sign is ready to be interpreted.
The more pigmented the sign, the bolder the personality. A lighter, softer sign can mean someone is shy or reserved. However, this can vary on each lip. If the color of the lips is "even on the top and bottom", it means that one is spiritually "balanced" and more connected to the spiritual side.
"When we feel beautiful, we feel powerful."
Plus, just like with manifesting manicures, Eddy believes that when we do what makes us feel our most beautiful—whether it's putting on our favorite lipstick or something else—we're at our most powerful.
"Manifestation is about energy, and we get more energy when we feel good," she says. "When we feel beautiful, we feel powerful. If you feel better, the energy in your aura will increase. The higher that vibration is, the more you will be able to manifest things on this planet.”
"If you have something you want, write it down," she says. "Sit quietly, go into the universe and say: Okay, what is my goal this year - what do I want? Then write it down and think, what will it be like when I'm there? Don't forget that thrill all year long."
