Taylor Swift is doing the Eras Tour.

On Friday night, she performed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at Nilton Santos Stadium. Many fans fell ill due to the heat wave, with a heat index of 60°, and one fan at the concert died of cardiac arrest.

23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides fainted before Swift took the stage. She was taken to a medical station and then transferred to Salgado Filho Hospital. Fans are blaming the venue for banning water bottles, as well as shutting down fans to prevent outside fans from watching. Swift stopped the show several times to ask security to give fans water; at one point, she threw a bottle at a fan.

On her Instagram Story, the singer shared a statement about Benevides' death, saying she is "saddened":

"I can't believe I'm writing these words, but it's with a broken heart that we lost a fan before my show. I can't explain the pain I feel. There's very little information I have other than the fact that she was extremely beautiful and very young.

I won't be able to talk about it from the stage because I feel overcome with grief when I try to talk about it. I want to say that I feel this loss deeply now and my heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I thought would happen when we decided to bring this tournament to Brazil."
