If our idea of ??the Greeks is not that of a stressed people, they lead the ranking of European countries, in which stress is perceived more. According to the study, Greece is the most stressed country in Europe , with the highest stress score of 71.8 out of 100, followed by Turkey, which ranks as the second most stressed country in Europe for reports of high stress levels. with 71.2 out of 100.

Portugal ranks as the third most stressed country in Europe with the third highest depression rate in Europe with a stress score of 68.4 out of 100.

Malta and Cyprus are ranked fourth and fifth respectively, followed by the Irish and the Spanish. The Italians are ranked eighth, ahead of the French and the Swiss, who are in ninth and tenth place respectively.

To classify stress, data from the Global Burden of Disease (a study of the Lancet medical journal that periodically analyzes the state of health of people in the world, including mental health) and surveys on this topic conducted by Eurostat and Gallup were used. In particular, stress, prevalence of anxiety and depression, sadness and happiness perceived by individuals between the ages of 15 and 64, as well as weekly working hours were examined.

The survey covered all European countries but excluded Russia and Ukraine, whose data would be outdated and unreliable due to ongoing conflict.
