Every time Glina water is mentioned in the mind of each of us, the New Year's table appears, with the green bottle of Glina in its center or the metal caps in the shape of which we used to draw the clock on our hands, or the spoon placed backwards on the bottle to store gas a little longer.
Memories of a distant time with which a name connects us today, that of Glina, the first bottled water in Albania, rich in minerals and with rare curative properties approved by a number of medical congresses.
Beyond the fact that Glina is one of the few waters in the world for which there are over 80-year-old scientific studies, which prove the unchanged preservation of its mineral composition or the fact that in Glina there has been a real health resort for over 40 years, where treated with Glina water more than 15,000 sick people, what makes Glina unique in its 50th anniversary is its survival in times of radical historical, political and social changes and its constant re-creation.
Never losing its relevance and always regaining its brilliance, Glina has touched everyone's hearts, simple and always authentic. A national asset that in its 50th anniversary comes with beautiful innovations such as the return of the iconic Albanian refreshing drink - "Aranxhata nga Glina", water with vitamins "Glina Vitamina" or tonic water "Glina Tonic", which can be enjoyed cold or with a little creativity, an infinity of mixologies and recipes can be created with them.
Glina celebrated her 50th birthday at the Palace of Congresses in a gala evening as simple as it was magnificent, as well as herself. By her side were the best names of art and stage such as Ardit Gjebrea, Aldon Lipe, Kozeta Kurti, Gerd Vaso and Joni Peçi who brought a lot of nostalgia and emotion through an artistic program with selected Albanian music from these 50 years.
Glina, on the pedestal she deserves, was the headline of the evening and her time travel came through the original interpretations of artists such as Petrit Lulo, Liljana Kondakçi, Bashkim Alibali, Rona Nishliu, Anxela Peristeri, West Side Family, Martin Pano, and the talented little Armina and with the exclusive participation of the artist we missed so much, Mira Konçi.
There are many blessings that God or nature has bestowed on our little Albania, but there are few that, like Glina, have defied time and come renewed even after half a century, making us proud. We wish Glina many more anniversaries.
For many happy years!
