Journalist Blendi Fevziu interviewed the well-known Albanian actor, Nik Xhelilaj, in Istanbul, where he has been living since 2012. For Opinion, Xheliaj told a very interesting story, told more about his work, but also about the place where he lives.
He said that he came to Turkey at the age of 14, where he started the military high school, as his parents wished. Also, he confessed that he didn't like being a soldier, so he decided to run away for Eid.
I stayed for four months and escaped for Eid. On the day of Eid they have more days off.
Also, he added that he left illegally.
They didn't give me my passport because they knew I might not come back. I broke the law, I didn't break it again for five years.
