Jane Fonda, the 85-year-old actress and activist, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and admitted that the treatments have not been easy. However, she later announced that the cancer has entered remission, calling it the best birthday present for her.

In her public statements, Fonda has expressed herself with realism and unafraid in the face of death. She has said that, while she does not want to leave life, she is aware that age and illness make it a near reality. According to her, this sense of acceptance also comes from the fact that she has lived a full and wonderful life.

The actress also emphasized that she feels lucky to have had access to quality healthcare and modern treatments, a privilege that many people in the world do not have. Through this experience, she has also spoken out about the need for equality in health, seeing cancer not only as a personal challenge, but also as a social issue.

Despite her diagnosis, Jane Fonda has continued to engage in activism, especially in environmental and social causes. She sees her life as a combination of artistic achievement and commitment to the public good, sending the message that even in the face of great challenges, working for the causes she believes in should not stop.

In her reflections, she has emphasized that she is ready to face the end, but not with sadness — on the contrary, with gratitude for the long and rich life she has lived.
