After several days of chaos and heavy traffic due to repair work, this weekend Tirana-Durres highway will be open. Although repairs have not been completed at all its length, the Albanian Road Authority has decided to suspend the works to minimize the expected outflow on the weekend due to the Durres coast and Gulf of Lalza coasts.

During these days, the ARM has repaired all the holes that were opened from the Rinas overpass to Maminas, returning to normal the movement of vehicles in this road segment. So enough traffic has a normal flux despite the increased flow of vehicles due to the Eid holiday.

Meanwhile, the holes reappear as soon as they cross the Maminas overpass. In this section repairs work will resume on Monday morning at 6 am, when traffic in the Maminas-Sukth segment will also be blocked.

ARA and the police have not yet announced how the traffic will be diverted and where the movement of vehicles will be oriented.
