Adnan Januzaj was considered the last man in the group matches for the Belgian national team, for the minimum 1-0 victory over England, because the only goal of the match was scored exactly by the striker originally from Kosovo. During these days when the two Albanian footballers who are playing with Switzerland, Xhaka and Shaqiri, Januzaj, on the other hand, the winning goal with England did not celebrate with the "eagle".
What impressed everyone was the fact that after the match, Januzaj did not mention Kosovo at all, but in the end, in an interview for the Belgian media, the footballer acknowledged his background from Kosovo, while also talking about why he did not celebrate with the symbol of the eagle, as his compatriots did, Jaka and Shaqiri.
" I do not like to mix football with politics. I preferred to celebrate with my fans and friends. I do not know whether it was one of my best goals in my career, but I know it was the most important one. I still want to score in this World Cup, however the coach must follow his own decisions, " Januzaj added.
