Sarah Jessica Parker shared the shocking news that her beloved stepfather, Paul Giffin Forste, has passed away at the age of 76.
"Our family is saddened to announce that after a sudden and sudden illness, Paul Giffin Forste passed away yesterday at the age of 76," the Sex and the City star's family said in a statement Thursday. "In his final moments he was surrounded by the love and gratitude of his adoring wife of 54 years Barbara and children, including Sarah Jessica Parker."
Page Six reported Wednesday night that Parker did not attend the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala due to an "unexpectedly devastating family situation."
Parker is vice chair of NYCB's Board of Directors. She was also the mastermind behind the Fall Fashion Gala, which was first celebrated a decade ago.
