A couple have gone viral after revealing how they only spent $500 (£380) on their wedding day.
Kiara and Joel Brokenbrough from California tied the knot in a low-budget ceremony in Los Angeles. They cut costs by getting married in a public place with few guests and hosting their reception in a hotel lounge.
Brokenbrough even bought the wedding dress from the Shein store, which cost just $47 (£36) and has since received more than a million views on TikTok, where she documented her 'thrifty' party.
"Our goal was to be as minimal as possible and spend as little money as possible, " she said in an interview with Good Morning America.

According to Brokenbrough, when it came to buying her wedding dress, she didn't want to spend too much because she "had the mindset that I'm going to wear this once for a few hours."
The wedding cake and flowers were given to her by friends and family. They were married on a public hill under the setting sun.
Since documenting the steps they took to cut wedding costs, they've been applauded by TikTok users for their savings.
The couple also admitted that they couldn't have pulled it off without the support of their friends and family throughout the planning process.
