We all know that emotions can cause strong bodily sensations. A new British study has revealed when we experience the different sensations in our body.

The researchers published data of some consistent results regarding the experience of emotions in different parts of the body, even across cultures of different peoples. For example, anxiety can feel like chest pain or when you fall in love, you can feel it all over your body.

The research was conducted online and over 700 individuals from Finland, Sweden and Taiwan participated. The researchers presented the participants with different emotions that a person experiences and then showed them a picture of the human body, so that they could identify with a color the part of the body where they experience the corresponding emotion.
