You who are single, be careful!

Just in time for Halloween, a very nasty dating trend known as 'spider webbing' is being discussed and is about manipulators spinning a web of toxicity around their 'victims'.

According to relationship experts, the spider's web involves people trapped in unstable romances that ultimately cause the 'victim' to experience distress.

The warning signs are often hard to spot, meaning people tend to miss the first indications that their partner is spinning a web around them.

The first sign to watch out for is ' love bombing '. If someone initially showers you with attention, gifts and romantic gestures and then suddenly stops, this can be a sign of their true character.

Another sign to watch out for is possessiveness, when your partner tries to take control of every event in your life.

If you try to confront a partner who is creating a 'spider web' for you, they may turn it against you to make it seem like you are the problem.

Dr. Sarah Bishop, a UK-based clinical psychologist, told HuffPost: 'They may justify their bad behavior by saying it's out of love.'

And, as the weather starts to get cooler and you find yourself looking for a hand to hold, Emma and Sarah warn that you should be on the lookout for people who are trying to spin a web of lies and deception around you.
